Newsflash: Team MOD win Central England Regional Final!
Welcome…
…to the Ministry Of Dynamics’ (MOD) webpage. We are a school based group of sixth-form students who are currently in year 12 at Lutterworth College and are participating in the F1 in Schools Challenge, a global engineering initiative focused on the creation of miniature CO2-powered ‘dragsters’.
For info on how we make our cars head to the Car Design page and the Car Manufacture page. If you’re curious about our progress the Team News blog is just waiting to be browsed. Want to get to know the faces of the team? Then Meet the Team.
We hope you enjoy this site, we’ve put a lot of effort into it. However if you’ve got any ideas for improving it don’t hesitate to email us (teammod@gmail.com) and we’ll see what we can do. Have fun!
Thank you to our sponsors!
The following organisations provide resources and services that are of great value to the team.
MIRA Ltd
MIRA Ltd are a Leicestershire based engineering firm who specialise in conducting research for major car manufacturers. Harry did his work experience placement with MIRA and the fantastic people in the Materials Department keep us on our toes with their ingenious technology and advice. They steadfastly support us by manufacturing our wheels. We literally couldn’t move without them!
Lutterworth College

We are pupils at Lutterworth College and they provide the base for all operations. The Design and Technology Department provide equipment to help us manufacture our cars and the Textiles Department embroider our shirts. Many of the teachers in the school are extremely helpful to Team MOD. In particular Mr Targett, Mr Redmond, Mrs Purshouse and Mr Deacon (aka Robin) have gone Above and Beyond the Call of Duty to help us. Thank you!
Sound and Vision
‘Sound and Vision’ are a top notch Lutterworth electronics retailer. They sell TVs, DVD players, DigiBoxes, games consoles – you name it! We approached them as part of our initiative to promote local businesses. We wanted to raise the profile of Lutterworth’s retailers, as well as raising money for materials. ‘Sound and Vision’ kindly sponsored us, supporting our National Final Offensive. Please visit their website.

I reckon if we can get the presentations better we can do it. I’m getting quite good at the car design so we’re fine in that respect.
